31 today. Thirty one. This time last year I was a pathetic mess about turning 30, but gosh it has been a good year. Happy Birthday to me I say - ok, so things are exactly how I thought they would be at this stage in my life but hello - there are no complaints. I am blessed with incredible friends and family and I am happy. I couldn't, and shouldn't ask for more. Merci x
I've been lucky enough to get to know Stacey through a good friend of mine over the recent months. A mother of two she is always looking super chic in her latest gilles st markets find, giving the coolest wedding presents (saw the awesome print she had framed for M & D when I was there the other week!) and now..... there is the blog! The kitchen has begun - it was chaos here this morning. Yay! Kitchen dude assured me I didn't have to make a decision on handles/knobs until this week. But I get a text today at work "I've left a book at your place for you to choose your handles. It would be great if I could order them tomorrow" - um, what the?! I've been pouring over handles for months, and now you have given me a book of about 300 handles and you want me to choose ONE, by tomorrow!?!?!So I think I'm going to end up with something like the above - Not my ideal handle, but will suit the kitchen. Except for that really long handle on the big cupboard on the left. Bit OTT. So, Oui?

Oh, and now that the kitchen is barely underway, I'm planning the renovation of the bathroom... no rest for the wicked (note to self - buy the winning ticket in the lottery this week)

Finally. Old kitchen out. New kitchen in. Seriously. For real. Actually happening. No more talk. Just down to business. So I'm writing this post sitting in my lounge room surrounded by Tupperware, pots and pans, crystal glasses, tea bags and flour. I'm so lucky to have an awesome house mate and fabulous friends to help - because I've kind of hoped the 'kitchen fairies' were just going to come in and get me all prepared.
Besides getting a dishwasher, the most exciting part of the kitchen is my new Mac. Yep. One of these beauties. Have absolutely NO IDEA how to use it, but gosh it is gorgeous. Bear with me. Please.

It is now officially Autumn, and while I bid Summer a sad good bye, gosh I love promise of winter. The clothes, the red wine, sitting by the fire, green hills, soup painstakingly made from scratch simmering on the stove all day, the sound of rain on the roof.... looking forward to it all. x

Oh... and just quietly.... loved my time in Sydney. Even though it was exhausting and 24/7 work. Drinks, drinks by the pool, dinner and drinks at the Ivy while I was there? Heaven.
Have a 'sweet' rest of the week my favourite peeps! I'm off to Sydney for work. Yet another opportunity for me to exercise my 'i'm going to become a morning person even if it kills me' project - flight out tomorrow is at 7am...Speaking of 'sweets' and 'treats'.... Ruby's latest is - "Timberlee, if you are good you can have a tweet!" (translated that means "Kimberlee, if you are good you can have a treat!") - she is too cute. And a little too clever.... She likes to recieve her 'tweet' prior to the good deed. Classic!
Speaking of classic, there is an ad on TV at the moment that has me smirking everytime. Pip posted it here. he he he.
Oh and back on the 'sweets' - the t.ruffle girls have still seriously got it going on. I love getting my daily does of sweets. And I'm finally getting mine framed. You can buy yours here.
